The Government of Japan (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology: MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at universities in Japan as Japanese studies students or teacher training students, in the framework of the Scholarship Program for 2017. The applications should be submitted to the Embassy of Japan in Moldova no later than Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Applications sent by e-mail will not be accepted.

The Program Guidelines and the list of necessary documents are shown below. Please read carefully the Program Guidelines. Any application missing any of the necessary documents will be automatically disqualified.
All application documents will be examined by the Embassy. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to take written examinations. The subjects for written examinations are as indicated in the Program Guidelines. The date and the venue of the examinations will be informed to the pre-selected applicants.
Applicants should have Moldovan citizenship. Those who have multiple citizenships (for example, Moldovan and Romanian) can apply only in one of these countries.
