On August 28, Ambassador Sumi and his spouse held a meeting for the participants of the Japanese Government educational programs, including the students who are due to start studying in Japan in September this year.
During the greeting speech Ambassador Sumi stated that Ukraine-Japan relations have been actively developing in recent years. He expressed his wish for the students going to Japan to not only study the Japanese language, but also gain interest in other spheres of Japanese life and study culture, politics and economics. Ambassador also said that he hopes that upon coming back to Ukraine the students will also become “bridges” between Ukraine and Japan, as did the senior graduates present at the meeting.
Also, before the beginning of the main part of the event the students going to Japan made speeches and one of the past participants of the program shared her experience and gave advice to the students.
