Ambassador Sumi visited opening ceremony of Japan Week at the Art Picnic of Slava Frolova

  On the 5th of August 2015 Ambassador of Japan Sumi Shigeki took part in the opening ceremony of Japan Week at the Art Picnic of Slava Frolova, organized by NTUU “KPI” Ukraine-Japan Center.
  During his welcoming speech Ambassador expressed his hopes regarding the increase of the interest of Ukrainians to Japan and Japanese culture, and also informed that Japan, as Ukraine’s friend, supported the process of democratization in Ukraine, provided financial aid worth 1.85 billion US dollars and would continue its support in the future.
  Slava Frolova Art Picnic is an event that represents different lifestyles and cultures. Among these, Japanese traditional and modern culture was presented during August 5-9 at the special Japan Week.
  The event took place at Pushkin Park and was attended by Kyiv citizens, who had an opportunity to taste Japanese dishes, visit various demonstrations and works shops.
