3. Opening ceremony of the Community Festival in Bakhmut Municipal Culture Center


On March 16, 2016, Mr. Michio Harada, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, participated in the opening ceremony of the Community Festival, which was held in the Bakhmut Municipal Culture Center. The ceremony was to commemorate the completion of the social infrastructure renovation under the IOM- implemented project, which was funded by Japan. Many people attended the ceremony including the Bakhmut City Mayor Mr. Oleksii Reva.
4. Opening ceremony at the renovated Slovyansk District Central Hospital


On March 16, 2016, Mr. Michio Harada, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, participated in the ceremony to commemorate the restoration of Slovyansk District Central Hospital in the Donetsk region and observed the renovated medical facility. Many hospital workers attended the ceremony and representatives of donor organizations were warmly welcomed with songs and dances. The hospital was affected by the military conflicts taking place in the eastern regions and has now been renovated as well as modernized within the framework of the UNDP- implemented project, which was funded by Japan.
5. Visit to a post office in Mykolaivka

On March 16, 2016, Mr. Michio Harada, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, visited a post office which is under reconstruction in the town of Mykolaivka. It is anticipated that many people will benefit from this UNDP- implemented project, which is funded by Japan. The project aims at the reconstruction of an essential social facility, which also serves as a place for local people to receive their pensions.
6. Visit to a blood transfusion station in Kramatorsk

On March 16, 2016, Mr. Michio Harada, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, visited a newly renovated blood transfusion station in Kramatorsk. Under the UNDP implemented project which was funded by Japan, its building was externally restored and new equipment was installed.
