Ambassador Sumi exchanged views with the Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Kutovyi

On May 31, 2016, Ambassador Sumi held a meeting and exchanged views with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi.
The Minister conveyed his expectations regarding Japan’s assistance in field of agriculture. Additionally, the Minister said that not only does the provision of aid matter, but cooperation on a commercial basis is also very important and voiced interest in its development. In turn, Ambassador Sumi said that both the Government of Japan as well as private companies have strong interest in Ukraine’s agricultural sector and expressed eagerness to cooperate closely in the near future.
