Ambassador Sumi met with the Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Patriarch Filaret

　 On June 30, 2016 Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Sumi held a meeting with the Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Patriarch Filaret at the Ambassador’s residence. Patriarch Filaret said that he had been to Japan many times since he first visited the country in 1970 in order to participate in the Conference of World Religions for Peace. The Patriarch also stated that Ukraine is the most religious country in Europe.
