Ambassador Sumi exchanged views Andrii Parubii Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

　 Japanese Ambassador Sumi met Ukrainian Parliamentary Speaker Andrii Parubii on September 1, 2016. The chairman of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Group for Friendship between Ukraine and Japan, Leonid Yemets, was also present.
　 Parliamentary Speaker Parubii thanked the Government of Japan for assistance it provided and for supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine. He also outlined tasks and perspectives regarding the autumn session of the Ukrainian Parliament, which will convene on September 6. Ambassador Sumi appreciated the efforts of reforms undertaken in Ukraine. He also expressed his hopes for fruitful cooperation with the Ukrainian Parliament as to the organization of events on the occasion of The Year of Japan in Ukraine, which will take place in 2017.
