Japanese government honors Mr. Kulinich, former Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan

On November 3, 2016 the Government of Japan decided to confer The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star on Mr. Mykola Kulinich, former Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.
Mr. Kulinich, who was born in Kyiv in 1953, is 63 years old. After service at the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan from 1994 until 1998 he held various posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which includes his position as the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. Mr. Kulinich served as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan from 2006 to 2013.
Mr. Kulinich is one of the most prominent Japan experts at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. The Order is conferred on Mr. Kulinich in honor of his contribution to promoting friendly relations and mutual understanding between Japan and Ukraine
The Investiture Ceremony will be held in Canberra, Australia, where Mr. Kulinich serves as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia.
