On November 9, 2016 Ambassador Sumi participated as a speaker in the first session at the interim seminar of the Project for Creation of a National Geospatial Data Infrastructure of Ukraine, which was held within the framework of Technological Cooperation by JICA. Japan contributes to the project by sending experts, providing equipment and carrying out training in order to create a prototype of national spatial data infrastructure and to establish its operating system.
Ambassador Sumi said it was a great pleasure that the Project for Creation of a National Geospatial Data Infrastructure is going well. After completion of this project, the NSDI prototype system will be created and its operational system will be established on the territory of the pilot and will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine.
