Ambassador Sumi meets Minister of Culture

　　On 17 November, the Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine visited the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and discussed his views with Minister Yevhen Nyshchuk.

　　Ambassador Sumi spoke about the holding of ‘Year of Japan in Ukraine’, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishment of Japan-Ukraine diplomatic relations, and expressed his hopes that the governments of both Japan and Ukraine will cooperate to hold various events to ensure  this project is a success.

　　Minister Nyshchuk agreed with this plan, and mentioned that he would like to collect proposals  from other ministries and government offices, as well as municipalities, and then to discuss the upcoming project in detail together with the Embassy of Japan.
