Ambassador Sumi and representatives of the parties related to the JICA’s Project for Capacity Development of Public Service Broadcaster exchanged views with Information Policy Minister Yurii Stets

On January 26, 2016 Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Sumi and representatives of the parties related to the JICA’s Project for Capacity Development of Public Service Broadcaster of Ukraine held a meeting and exchanged views with the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets.
From the Japanese side, Ambassador Sumi, JICA representatives and experts in charge of the project, including a team leader from NHK International Atsushi Miyao, participated in the meeting. The Ukrainian side was represented by the Minister of Information Policy Yurii Stets and Head of the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine Oleh Nalyvaiko.
The project aims to support the public broadcasting system in Ukraine through dispatching experts to Ukraine’s Public Broadcaster and purchasing equipment. During the meeting, an overview of the project was provided.
This exchange of views was held as previously agreed during the meeting between Ambassador Sumi and Information Policy Minister Yurii Stets on January 17, 2016.
