On March 20th, 2017 Ambassador Sumi visited Vinnytsia Oblast and took part in handover ceremony under the 2014 Grant Assistance for Human Security Projects of the Kusanone Programme for Ukraine, namely “The Project for Improvement of Educational Environment in Elementary School of Spychyntsi Village”.
Within the framework of the project the following works have been completed: renovation of heating system, replacement of doors and windows, construction of a well and water plumbing within the school as well as new equipment for classrooms and kitchen were purchased.
About 40 participants, namely, representatives of Pohrebyshche District State Administration, local community, teachers and students of the preschool expressed their deep gratitude for the help and stressed that all the participants of study process benefit from this project. In turn, local children, wearing national clothing, performed their appreciation by dancing.
