During his visit to Uzhhorod city on April 18, Minister-Counselor, Deputy Head of Mission Michio Harada hold a handover ceremony for the Project for Improvement of Sanitary Conditions in Nursery schools of Uzhhorod City under grant assistance for Grass-roots human security projects (Kusanone Programme) at Uzhhorod city kindergarten #36. In the framework of this project 24 kindergartens of Uzhhorod city received around 90 pieces of professional kitchen equipment in order to improve food preparation conditions.
About 30 participants, namely City Mayor Bogdan Andriiv, representatives of the City Council, teachers and pupils of the kindergarten were present at the ceremony. They have expressed their gratitude for Japanese assistance, which made it possible to prepare delicious and safe food for children.
Moreover, pupils of the kindergarten performed a dance in traditional Ukrainian clothing at the ceremony.
