Ambassador Sumi with spouse participated in a tea ceremony

On May 20 Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Sumi with spouse visited the open-air tea ceremony “Nodate”, hosted by the Ukrainian branch of the Urasenke school of Japanese tea ceremony at the Kyiv Botanical Garden. This event was held in framework within the “Year of Japan in Ukraine”.
Program of the event also included a presentation of Japanese poetry, ikebana demonstration and workshop of tea making . All the participants showed a great interest in the Japanese culture.
Ambassador also visited an exhibition of Japanese miniature tree "bonsai", which is held at Kyiv Botanical Garden.
