Ambassador Sumi participated in the handover ceremony for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV vehicles

　 On May 25, Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Sumi took part in the handover ceremony for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV vehicles provided in the framework of the Green Investment Scheme (GIS), which was held on the premises of Kyiv Fortress. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Head of the National Police of Ukraine Serhii Knyazyev. The Japanese side was represented by Ambassador Sumi and the President of “Mitsubishi Motors Corporation” Osamu Masuko.
　 In his speech, Prime Minister Groysman said that introduction of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV cars would technically facilitate the activities of the National Police of Ukraine and thanked the Japanese partners for their assistance and support. In turn, Ambassador Sumi welcomed the introduction of Japanese vehicles with energy-saving technologies to the National Police and conveyed his expectations for further implementation of reforms in Ukraine. During the ceremony, which became a great event, 380 out of 635 cars provided were placed around the venue with police officers standing near them.
