Deputy Head of Mission Michio Harada participated in the signing ceremony of MOU between Toshiba and Energoatom

  On October 25 Michio Harada, Deputy Head of Mission, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions and SE “NNEGC ENERGOATOM” aimed at developing the cooperation in modernization of turbine island equipment of Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
  During the ceremony, Goro Yanase, Vice President of Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, and Yuri Nedashkovsky, President of the SE “NNEGC Energoatom”, signed the document on developing cooperation for modernization of equipment at the power plants operated by Energoatom.
  The Deputy Head of Mission Michio Harada delivered a speech and welcomed the signing of MOU. He said that Toshiba’s technology and experience will definitely contribute to modernization of the power plants operated by Energoatom. He also noted that in the framework of the “Year of Japan in Ukraine” sakura trees are planted around the country, and MOU signing can also be considered as a sakura tree expected to blossom in future.
  The cooperation between Japanese companies and Ukraine in the nuclear energy sphere is expected to further develop after the above-mentioned document was signed.
