Concert by the Japanese violinist Nakamura Daichi

  On February 2, a spirited Japanese violinist Nakamura Daichi, who won the 2017 International Johannes Brahms Competition, gave a concert at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan. A lot of government officials and other leading figures, such as Deputy Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko and Co-chairman of the Japan Ukraine Inter-parliamentary Relations Group Leonid Yemets, were present at the concert.
  In his welcoming speech Ambassador Sumi mentioned, that this concert was organized to express gratitude for the cooperation during the Year of Japan in Ukraine. Embassy highly appreciates the help of Ukrainian Government, Ukraine-Japan Centre, Japanese affiliated companies and others, and due to their efficient cooperation Year of Japan became a great success.
  Daichi Nakamura, together with the Kyiv Classical Orchestra, performed classical masterpieces as well as Japanese folk songs, which were warmly greeted by the audience.
