Ceremony of grant contracts signing for Grass Roots (KUSANONE) Human Security Projects 2018, 2nd stage

  On March 15, seven grant contracts were signed at the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine for the Grass Roots (KUSANONE) Human Security Projects 2018. Namely, the following projects have been signed:   1. Project of Modernization of Medical Equipment for Ovruch and Narodychi Central District Hospitals Serving Population Affected by the Chornobyl Accident; 2. Project for Improvement of Rehabilitation Environment in Children's Camp "Nadia", Zarichany Village, Zhytomyr Oblast; 3. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital; 4. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Mykolaiv Oblast Tuberculosis Dispensary; 5. Project for Improvement of Educational Environment in Novovorontsovka Town Kindergarten #1, Kherson Region; 6. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Petrove District Central Hospital of Kirovohrad Oblast; 7. Project for Improvement of Rehabilitation Facility at Ukrainian Research Institute for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation, Kharkiv.   According to these contracts, the Government of Japan will provide financial assistance for a total of more than $510,000 for improvement of Ukrainian public health and children care facilities. The grants will be used for supply of modern medical and sanitary equipment for hospitals and the research institute, as well as improvement of education and rehabilitation environment in children care institutions.
