Ambassador Sumi met with the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission

On December 14 Ambassador Sumi met with the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission. During the meeting the sides also exchanged views on the Japan-Ukraine relations.
Ambassador Sumi said that Japan had consistently supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and that such position would remain unchanged in the future. He also noted that Japan would continue providing support to Ukraine, including economic cooperation.
In turn, Prime Minister Groysman expressed his gratitude for Japan’s support for reforms in Ukraine and various types of economic cooperation. He also highly evaluated Ambassador Sumi’s active contribution to the development of the Japan-Ukraine bilateral relations during his term of office.
