Signing ceremony for Grass Roots (KUSANONE) Human Security Projects FY2018

     On March 22 grant contracts for the Grass Roots (KUSANONE) Human Security Projects FY2018 were signed at the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine. The signed projects are as follows:

1. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Maternity Department of Kherson City Hospital named after O.S. Luchanskyi
2. Project for Improvement of Rehabilitation Environment at Kharkiv City Homeless Center
3. Project for Improvement of Sanitary Environment at Mykhailo Kotsubynskyi Gymnasium
4. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Lutsk City Clinical Hospital
5. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Borzna Central District Hospital
6. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Maternity Department of Novovolynsk City Central Hospital
7. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Radyvylyiv Central District Hospital, Rivne Oblast
8. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Kozova Central District Hospital, Ternopil Oblast
9. Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment at Hlyboka Central District Hospital, Chernivtsi Oblast
10. Project for Improvement of Rehabilitation Environment at Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Persons in Cherkasy City
11. Project for Improvement of Rehabilitation Environment at Training Center for Disabled Persons in Dorozhne Village, Vinnytsya Oblast

     In 2018, twelve projects (eleven projects signed, one – under preparation) were selected to improve the healthcare and educational environment in Ukraine, and a total of about USD 800,000 will be provided by the Government of Japan. The latest medical and sanitary equipment will be provided to each hospital, as well as the renovation of educational facilities will be performed with the fund allocated.
