Visit of Kyoto Mayor Kadokawa to Kyiv

  On June 2-5 the delegation of Kyoto Mayor Kadokawa visited the sister-city Kyiv.
  During the visit Mayor Kadokawa gave a lecture at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, held a meeting with the Kyiv city Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The delegation also visited the Japan and Ukraine Children`s Peace Mural Exhibition ‘Kids Guernica in Kyiv‘ at Kyiv Fortress and Okiagari Koboshi Exhibition at the National Museum Chornobyl. Moreover, due to the visit of Kyoto city Mayor, Kyoto Park was renovated and there was held a commemorative ceremony under the attendance of Mayor Klitschko and Ambassador Sumi.
  Kyiv welcomed the delegation of Kyoto city Mayor with great enthusiasm and organized the welcoming reception at the Column Hall of the Kyiv city administration. Also, Mayor Klitschko organized a lunch on the boat, floating the river Dnipro, where further cooperation between Kyoto and Kyiv was discussed. In addition, Ambassador Sumi hosted a reception in his residence, the main aim of which was cultural exchange between citizens of Kyoto and citizens of Kyiv.
