　On the 23rd of December Ambassador Sumi was invited to visit Kyiv Politechnic University by its principal， Michael Zgurovsky. There is a Ukraine-Japan Center in the university, which is supported by The Japan Foundation and provides a variety of courses such as Japanese, tea ceremony, ikebana, Go-game etc.. A lot of people interested in the Japanese language and culture, go to the center which makes it an important place for spreading the Japanese language and culture.
　Ambassador Sumi after inspecting the Ukraine-Japan Center and encouraging its employees and students, visited the Aerospace Museum, which is also on the territory of the university. Ambassador Sumi got some explanations from the wise principal Mr. Sidorenko about KPI’ s world level achievements in science and technology.
