　Ambassador Sumi and the Youth & Sports Minister, Zhdanov, exchanged their ideas on the 20th of January this year. During Ambassador Sumi’s visit at the Ministry of Youth & Sports he discussed his opinions with Minister Zhdanov.
Minister Zhdanov expressed his gratitude towards Japan for all its help in maintaining the Ukrainian economy and infrastructures. Upon their meeting Minister Zhdanov said, “In the future, I would like to get Japan and other countries to cooperate in the youth and sports sphere as well; especially for repairing the Youth Houses all over Ukraine. Also gathering all those who were injured during combat to the West in order to rehabilitate; then restore sports infrastructures that were destructed during the combats”. Moreover, Minister Zhdanov conveyed his desires to join in the Youth International Exchange, which is organized by the Japanese Government. Ambassador Sumi mentioned, “My country’s policy is to support peace and safety in Ukraine, and we would like to cooperate in the future, as well”.
