Ambassador Sumi and Defence Minister Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak had an exchange of opinions

 

 

　 On 16 July, 2015 Thursday, Ambassador Sumi visited the Ministry of Defence of Ukriane, and exchanged opinions with Defence Minister Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak.
　 Ambassador Sumi made a statement on the position of Japan in the issue of supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea peninsular, also disapproval of any change of current conditions by force; Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak expressed gratitude to the Japanese Government for political and financial support for Ukraine, and pursued possibility of cooperation expansion with Defence Ministry and Self-Defence Forces of Japan.
