Ambassador Sumi exchanged views with the Governor of the National Bank V. Hontareva

 
 

　 On July 28, Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Sumi held a meeting to exchange views with the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva.
　 Ambassador Sumi explained regarding Japan’s assistance to Ukraine and mentioned the harmful effect of the foreign currency restrictions imposed by the National Bank. In turn, Ms. Gontareva expressed gratitude for Japan’s financial assistance to Ukraine and in particular for the USD 300 million loan as a parallel lending with the World Bank. The Governor also explained the current situation regarding the foreign currency restrictions, as well as the future prospects.
